Cup

We just introduced a cup to Harper and she is a pro already. She really studies Sam when he is drinking from his cup- it is so cute. I also introduced some finger foods this week and she loves to feed herself. Look at that cute smirk once she gets the cup in her mouth- melts my heart!

Crazy Busy

I am been slacking on blogging I admit. Things around here have been busy. Sam had his first ear infection last week and has a lingering runny nose. Harper has been teething and now has her second tooth! She is all over the place. I have gotten pretty busy at work picking up extra home health patients and I have been up to my ears in paperwork. We have been busy shopping and re-decorating the kids play room which looks really nice and a lot more colorful and fun. We bought a tent that they both love to sit in together.

A funny exchange this morning before Russ left to work... I was standing in our bedroom getting dressed and Russ looked at me and said...

"Do you think we should join a gym and start working out?"

Gee, I wonder what made him think of that! At least he said "we"! Good thing I have a pretty good sense of humor.

Lots of pictures to come soon I promise:)

And She's Off...

We have another army crawler-just like Sam was. Don't know if it is our hardwood floors or just our kiddos!

8 Months Today

8 months old... really? Why does this first year go by in the blink of an eye? Bringing you home from the hospital and middle of the night feedings feel like yesterday. You were very busy your 7th month of life. You went from sitting up unassisted to crawling in a matter of weeks. You finally transitioned from your bassinet to your crib. You got your first tooth on the 23rd of December- bottom left- just like Sam! You are changing so fast I can barely keep up.

Calm, determined, fearless, silly, content... all words we use to describe you so far. You love to go to the park with Sam and just sit in your stroller and watch the world go by. You more interested in laughing with me then eating your solid foods. You hardly ever cry but when you do it is with such intensity something really has to be wrong. You love to be tickled and you are in love with Sams' Elmo pillow!

Sponge

Our lives just went from busy to busier since Harper started crawling on December 28th. She went from kind of crawling to really crawling in a matter of days. She is all over the place and is fearless and determined. Sam has always been very cautious so this is new for us! Sam is so excited the more and more she is interacting with him and playing. He is slowly but surely getting the idea of sharing. We are working on it.

Sam is talking so much and comes up with the cutest things. He is, as my father says, an absorbent sponge and is learning so much at such an incredible rate. He is silly and loving and such a good boy. He is a wonderful big brother and they two of them are so silly together. Our house is filled with laughter and chaos and I love every second of it.

I will post more pictures once things calm down a bit- if they ever do!

New Camera

I have just started to play around with our new Nikon D90 and I love it. Between that and my new MacBook I have a lot to learn which I love. I signed up at our local art school for a 3 hour workshop specific to my D90 so I can learn all that it can do. We went down to Park Avenue today so I thought I would try the camera out. Here are some of the pictures we took:
